Hello Guys, we are all re-directed here right now.

Alright, let me share the potential, in my perception, of this website with you guys...

If we can have a website with Design that looks like this -> talent.singaporeinfocomm.sg/ . It can definitely attracts lots of youth to join in. Especially those aged between 14-22 i would say?

Point: Attracted the youths.

How can we attract the youths?

It's really great that all of us came from different area. So all we need to do is to get the youths of our area to join in. Slowly, the number the will increase by itself if it is really fun mah. right? Eventually, throughout the whole Singapore, there will be young leaders/volunteer/participants everywhere.

Point: Leaders/Volunteer/Participants everywhere.

What's next?

We need the website to be able to retain people. How is that made possible? We will then need to have a website like --> facebook.com . Thus, that's the reason why u guys are here...wahaha..i need each and everyone of you to share what features would u like to have?

E.g. What i could think of is. A feature which allows anybody to create events, and anybody could join in that event. Something that is fun and interesting~ Like facebook, they constantly have new applications. So people wont get bored of it.

So, let me know what features can each of you guys think of! =D.

Let's make it happening~ Gather the youths together first, den introduce them to volunteer work.

Kudos! As a youth, i would also want a platform whereby I can locate youths of the same interest and from there start off the friendship. I think this application would also be beneficial.

Example in such a case like:

We would like a bunch of youth volunteers to organise a nation-wide sports carnival, music jam party, something like that. We just have to refer to the interest group and we would be able to get the talents required from the groups! However, it does not means that others who are not in that particular interest group will not be taken in for the job. It is just a platform to better manage our resources and talents and a platform for youths to find their place and sit in.

Honestly speaking, we join something when our interest lies in that field. So I thought it would be a better attraction for youths if they see something like (Categories of interest for them to blend in and chat) tags of interests with creative names of coz!

Do give suggestion!

I am for website application....is all of us who are IT inclined can chip in to maintain it.

I am actually hoping that towards the end of the programme...PAYM will gradually take over part of the maintenance of website application and uploading of info...as the secretariat...while the rest of us who will become alumni will continue to share ideas and use it to publicise and organise the next YOUTHSLead!

I think that's a wonderful idea and thanks to Jeremy for the evolution that u have progressed and bring Youthlead across so many platforms. I cant fathom what we'll do without the IT expert like u? haha... so, wat's next? Since terence is fine with sponsoring the website, is jeremy fine with the design and interface? Kudo!

i think a good feature will be sharing of photos. to date, we had 2 events, and some of us had taken photos using his or her own camera. having a site allows us to upload and share our photos. celine can save money since she doesn't need to waste money burning cds too. when we have more outings, we will have more photos albums =)

another feature is important announcement. an user can login, make an announcement, and the email will be sent to everyone. this saves the trouble of the annoucer having to manually type in the email addresss of everyone, and having to update the email address every now and then.

lastly a poll is useful if we need to vote online.
